17 days and counting…

Well it’s been that kind of a day.  I managed to reclaim a bit more of my dining room, but I still have a ways to go before I’m satisified.  I can be very determined when I need to be.

So what have I done today?  Besides the typical housework?  Well, I had to do the usual “Mom you’re awesome” thing.  Because my daughter don’t watch her schedule,, I had to bring her instrument to her school this morning for her band class before lunch.  Yes,, I’m going for MOM OF THE FREAKING YEAR!!! 🙂

Upon getting back from that,, I called up my sis inlaw.  I could spend all day on the phone just to have that voice breaking the silence.  Then again, that’s what my music is for.  Which I usually have turned up full so no matter where in the house I am, I can hear the songs blaring.  Though, most times I just have the TV on.  Anything to break the quietness.  However, there’s times that I love it.  To turn everything off and just listen to nothing.  Until the roaring of cars speeding up the street.  Never have I ever wanted to live off in the woods somewhere, secluded with only my thoughts.  I think that’s why I’d love to be living out of the city.  It’s too busy and you have too many people in your business.

Though, you’ll get that anywhere you live, but not where I have in mind.  All I need is to win the lotto and POOF!!  Sounds lovely doesn’t it?  To be living somewhere you only can dream of.  My sanctuary is in the country, off the beaten path, in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway,, today starts 17 days and counting to the end of another school year.  Yep,, 17 days.  Of course, this is excluding weekends.  17 days of having to get up early and pack lunches.  Albeit, I should be doing it the night before, but then if I do, I’d only sleep in.  And I knows I would.  17 days of small arguements of getting the kids out of bed to get dressed.  And fed.  17 days of,,,,

But then what?  Well, now I have 23 days (including weekends) to plan a summer filled with fun.  No pressure.

I’m not that creative.  And I’ll be the first person to admit to that.  I had to call a friend to give me some ideas of what to do for my own daughter’s birthday party.  I had tie dying shirts in mind, but once I seen a video on Youtube of what’s involved to it,, I had to cancel that.  Mind you, that can still be something that I can do with my kids during the summer, so it’s not totally out.  But my friend was able to give me some other great ideas.

Plus I still have my Harry Potter series to read.  Thanks to some awesome friends of mine,, we are having a book club of sorts.  Where I have never read Harry Potter, one friend said she’d read along with me then we can have a discussion after each book.  What started off with just 2 of us, have now snowballed into about 7 or 8 friends.  This is so awesome.  Although, I have some massive reading to do.  I’m just starting chapter 12 of Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone and we’re supposed to be done on the 6th.  Yes, in 4 days!!!  I better get cracking. LOL.

And on that note,, I really should head off.  Kids will be home soon and I have some things to finish up before they arrive.   Anyway, thank you for popping by.  Wishing you all an awesome day (or night).

Until next time,

K ❤
