Breaking out…

There’s so many things I’ve always wanted to do with my life, besides getting married and having kids.  Some things I’ve accomplished.  Others, not so much.

Growing up, you’re always asked “what do you want to do?”  And for the longest time, it was an actress.  Something about TV and film fascinated me.  But it was looked down upon.

So then I thought of being one of those stewards aboard airplanes. I wanted to travel all over the world (or wherever the plane would take me, lol).  But that didn’t work out either.  Even though I was enrolled and was having such a great first day with my classes.

So I ended up doing a Word Processing Operator course.  I’m not dissing that profession, I really enjoyed it.  I did my 3-week on the job training in an office building in the downtown area and was learning so much from the people there.  Until I was finished my course and was seeking actual work.

I went everywhere I could think.  Dentist offices, law offices, even schools.  Nada.

I ended up working at a fast-food place.  Not the most glamourous job, but at least most of the costumers made it worthwhile.

But I had dreamt of so much.  This wasn’t what I had seen myself doing when asked, “what do you want to do when you grow up?”

It took many years later that I would get to dabble into acting.  Mind you, it’s fanmade films, and all voluntary, but what an awesome experience.

So now, besides having done a bit of acting, I’ve also written and published a book (with 2 more on the way).

But what I’m so proud of (besides my kids), is that I was able to join in on a project for a music video from one of my favorite singers – Ben Haenow.

He won X-Factor 2014 and as soon as his first single came out, I had to buy a copy.  He’s got one of those voices that you just fall in love with.

Watch the video, stream and buy his new single If You’re Lonely, and see if you can find me, LOL.

Sending lots of love to anyone who needs it.  And remember, you\re never alone.

Until next time,,,

What day is it again?

I’m not sure about you all, but there have been days when I have to ask people, or look on my phone, to see what bloody day it is.

This is nuts.  I understand and agree with everything that has had to have happened to keep the virus numbers down, but I miss going to work.  I miss going in and chatting, watching their favorite tv shows they’ve recorded.  I miss coloring, or even playing guitar with her.

But she’s classified as high risk, and so it’s safer for her, for me to stay home.  Mind you, I have popped by a couple of times.  But staying outside, and keeping my distance.  If anything, I miss her hugs.

What I find funny though, is that I’ve been a stay at home mom for 20 years when I decided to look for work.  Mainly because my son (now 22) is autistic, so staying at home was because I had to make sure I was available for him.  Since he’s been finished high school, I’ve been able to have a worker for him (who’s also laid of right now because of COVID) and she’s anxious about returning as well.

Going to work for almost 2 years, really gave me a place to go instead of staring at the same 4 walls day in and day out.  Now, since the beginning of April, I had to go back to it again.

So here we are.  I’m not sure when I started losing days.  Or thinking it’s the next.

But I’d like to hear how you all have been coping.  Going on adventures?  New hobbies??  Feel free to comment, I’d love to know how you are all doing with all this.

Thank you for popping by.

Until next time.

An Interesting 2020

Ok, so 2020 has started off as a semi-fun year.  With some celebrity deaths, which is always the sad part of any year.  But 2020 is not what I had hoped it would be.

Apparently there was a virus going around, but it was hardly heard of (even by media) until it was too late.  And now we’ve got this thing going around the world that’s anything but fun.

The scientists were all warning us too, but would we listen? NOOOOOOO.

But it wasn’t for the lack of trying to get the word out.  There were some big named politicians who were drowning out their screams of what’s coming.

And now we live in a world where we are all confined to our homes.  Only going out when we absolutely need to buy essentials.  And even then, having to keep 6 feet from others in fear catching this thing.

Except for those who HAVE to work during all this, and putting themselves into harm’s way just to help those of us who fall victim to this virus that’s plaguing our homes.

I want to thank all the doctors, nurses, firefighters, policemen & women, EMT’s and everyone else who are essential workers.  THANK YOU!!!  ❤ ❤ ❤

So for the moment, I’ll end this post here.  To continue on would only make for a depressing read.

So while you’re all inside, do some baking, watch movies, maybe even start a new hobby.  I have one in mind to start, I just need to get the materials, 🙂

Anyway,, be kind to each other and give your love ones a hug and tell them how much you appreciate them.

Love you all.

Be safe everyone.
