Christmas, writing & everything in between.

Well, it’s 3 days until Christmas Eve.  Which means it’s only 4 days left until the living room turns into a lovely, well decorated room, to something that a tornado struck.  From neatly wrapped gifts, to paper flying everywhere.

But that’s what I get with kids. LOL.

And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

This weekend, the kids will be with my parents before Christmas actually hits.  So this will give us the time to get last minute stocking stuffers and any booze we might need in case we have visitors pop by.

I like to have things on hand.  Though, I’m pretty sure it will be another quite Christmas.  But seeing as our plans to have Christmas out home has failed, I’m hoping to get out to visit the friends and family we have here in the city.

Another thing I’m going to try and do is actually make a New Years resolution.  And actually do it.  I usually tend on saying I’ll do something, then I get distracted with other things.  Not the best quality to have, trust me.  But that’s something I guess I have to work on. 🙂

Starting in January, I’m going to TRY and write every day on the script I’m trying to write.  I have 7 pages written so far.  But I’ve had 7 pages for a couple of weeks now.  I can’t seem to manage the time to get it done.  I want to have it done, sent to the producer and ready for filming in the summer.

I’ve tried not to tweet too much about it, only in DM will I give some detail.  I just hope that it’s liked by people who watch it.  I enjoy the acting aspect of doing fan films.  I’ve been in 2 already and loved every bit of it.  Though, at my age now, I don’t see me doing this as a career.  Although, acting is something I’ve always wanted to do.  But with a family now, I don’t see it being anything more.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE doing the fan films.  And the most recent is being Behind-the-Scenes gal for the Star Trek Reliant webseries, that in itself is a huge laugh.  Working with friends and like minded people is awesome.  I’m not comparing myself to the celebs who do this for a living.  Because, I’m not one.  On the contrary.  Because I’ve dabbed in the acting bit, and now the writing part, I can understand that much more the lives of those who actually do this for a living.  The writers, actors, everyone who’s involved in putting off a show, I pat them on the back.  I respect them that much more.

It’s hard work.  And I dare anyone to say otherwise.

So anyway, I think that’s enough for right now.

I have some things to get done before kids come home again.  It’s a short day.  Well, shor-ter day.  Brett gets out just after 12 and Denise will be done at 1:20.  I have packing to do for the kids.  Denise wants to do some baking before she leaves for the weekend.  And I’m hoping to get my jersey today. *cross fingers*.

I’ve always wanted one and now they are the perfect price, I can afford one. 🙂

Don’t worry, I’ll post a pic when I get it.

Until then, thx for popping by.

Love,

K.
