Yes… I done it again!

Hello again.  Yes, I done it again.  I gave this place another look.  I know,, I know,, *facepalm*.

Sure you all knew it was going to happen eventually, LOL.

Well, I got some news for everyone,,, I sent out a resume today via email.  My first one in ,,, ummm,,, 17 years.  Yes, I said 17 years!!!  Thanks,, like I didn’t need to feel any older that I am right now.  Albeit, I don’t look my age,, so I guess maybe I should be thanking everyone, LOL.

Anyway,, I’m hoping that I hear some good news from it.  I’m a tad nervous too.  I haven’t done the working scene since I left and had my first child.  Yes, I’m refering to Brett.  Well,, actually,, he’ll be 17 in January.  Holy crap!!  17!!  Where the hell have the time gone???

Cutting this very short,,,, need to start on some salads to go with our supper.

Until next time.

K. xo.

PS: If this theme doesn’t work for ya, let me know and I’ll change it again, 🙂 .

This and That.

I know I haven’t written in here lately, but if you have followed my tweets, you’ll know what I’ve been up too.  Besides the destroying of a wall in the house and building something else to put in it’s place, I’ve been painting.  Well both my hubby and I have been painting.  He’s also been putting up new drywall, as well as plastering & sanding it.  He done the biggest wall that goes from the main floor to the upstairs and let me tell you the amount of dust that came from it.  HOLY HANNAH!!!  I had to chain on the dog and open up the front and back doors.  All that dust wasn’t good for me, considering I sneeze like crazy when just doing the usual light dusting around the house. 🙂

Anyway, the biggest project is done now, so later today when hubby gets home from work, he’ll use the regular sand paper to finish off the wall.  Then we can prime and paint it.  I can’t wait for that one.  I got the colors already.  Well for the upstairs anyway.  But I have an idea what to do with that big main wall.  And I think it’s gonna look awesome when it’s done.

But for now, I’ll be getting the upstairs taken care of.  Laundry, stripping the beds, sweeping and mopping the floors, and the stairway.  Then I can concentrate on the downstairs.  Which is the main floor.  It’s days like this I wish we had a basement.  But when they built these houses, they put them all on a concrete slab.  Though, don’t worry, when it’s all done, I’ll be getting pictures of the fruits of our labor, 🙂

We are aiming to have this all done before we head off on our camping trip.  That’s right, our annual autism camp at Lion’s Max Simm’s Memorial Camp.  Don’t worry, I’ll make notes and blog about our time there as well.  As I’m the camp DJ, I need to go over the songs and make sure I have all the right cables to hook up the laptop to the stereo speakers for both dances.  They have one for the kids, and 2 for the adults.  It’s a lot of fun.  Maybe this time I’ll see about playing a video for you all to see the fun.  With everyone’s permission of course. 🙂

The only difference for this time around is that we don’t have our camper.  We sold it.  We don’t use it enough times throughout the year to justify on keeping it.  So I put it up on Kijiji.  BEST SITE EVER!!!  Especially if you want to sell something fast.  I put it up on a Saturday, and it was sold the next day.  I’m sure some of you like using NFClassifieds, but I was impressed by Kijiji, so most likely that is the one I’ll be using from now on.

Between getting the house put back together and getting ready for our camping trip, I have a script to write.  I’m not saying what it’s going to be about quite yet, but it’s something that I’ve never seen done anywhere else.  I’ll be meeting up with the producer of Hann-Made Productions tomorrow to discuss it.  I’m excited plus nervous at the same time.  I’ve never took on such a project this big before.  Not only am I writing the script for this, but my name will be going in the film credits.  So that in itself is making me bite what nails I have left.  Though, knowing the producer like I do, he’ll probably put my name in a few places, *facepalm*

Anyway, I need to head off and find some breakfast before I start on my day.  Hope you all have a great Monday.

Until next time.

Karen, XOXO

Bits of Everything.

You know when you have something on your mind to say, then you actually think twice before saying it?  Well I’m hoping to come to that point soon.  Although, a lot of the time when I want to rant, I end up screaming in my kitchen, yelling at a friend on skype.  Not actually yelling at her, but yelling in general, text a friend that I’m so pissed off, or send an email.  Some of you reading this knows what I’m talking about, the rest of you, sorry, I’m not airing it out online for all to see.  Just know that with the awesome friends I have, I’m not going to let stupid and immature people get to me anymore.  The stupid is my word.  Immature was the word used by others describing the actions of this other person who irritates me.

At any cost, I’m done with this person.  No matter how hard I try and be nice to this person, I’m the one getting attacked for my efforts.  Oh well, you live and learn I guess.

Now on with my life.  I’ve got a trip coming up that I’m so excited about.  I guess you can call it a first honeymoon of sorts.  We never really had one when we got married.  And now that our oldest is 14, we thought it was about time we done something for ourselves for a change.  So I’ll be posting pictures on here (with hubby’s consent of course), to show you everything that Dominican has to offer.  Well at least from the hotel in which we are staying anyway.

Then there’s a convention I have to get ready for.  I have to admit, I’m a tad bit apprehensive.  Not about the fact that there will be so much to do and take care of when I’m there.  But that this will be one full weekend that I’ll hardly see my family.  The convention starts April 20th, which is a Friday.  But I’ll be going to the airport to be picking up one of our guests.  I’m so nervous about that.  Mainly cause I’ve never done this before.  And the guest is someone I admire and respect in the entertainment industry.  They say first impressions right?  Well, I’ll have to make sure the truck is vacuumed out, washed down (I hope) and smelling nice.  Not that I don’t think he will care, having 2 kids of his own, he probably got the same messy truck as everyone else, LOL.  Plus, the thing that makes me the most nervous is that I’ll be his handler for the whole weekend.  Making sure he’s on time for his Q&A’s for both days (Sat. and Sun.).  I hope I don’t mess something up.  I’ll be taking my camera of course.  I have a few ideas of poses to get, LOL.

Then when the convention is done, there’s planning for the next one.  Albeit, I already have a guest for 2013.  And I’m excited to have her come here too.  I won’t say who right now.  But don’t worry, you’ll love who it is. 🙂  In actual fact, i have 2 others who are very eager to come here for next year.  Yes, I know, I love to tease. 😀

And yes, you might have noticed that I’ve given this site a new look.  Don’t get too comfy, most likely I’ll end up changing it again to something that’s more me.  What that will be is anyone’s guess.  But keep popping back, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I think that’s all I want to write for now.  I have more housework to get done as we have hubby’s parents coming in on Thursday.  They will be staying here with the kids while hubby and I are gone on our trip.  So that’s a full week of me not tweeting.  Nor facebooking.  Nor blogging.  I hope you’re all able to cope with me gone.  LOL.  Though, chance are, I will hardly be missed.

Anyway,, I’m heading off now.  Like I said, I have housework to get done.  And brownies to bake.

Whoops!!! Did I forget to mention that I’ll be baking too?  Ooops, lol.  Oh well, on that note, blog again soon.
