17 days and counting…

Well it’s been that kind of a day.  I managed to reclaim a bit more of my dining room, but I still have a ways to go before I’m satisified.  I can be very determined when I need to be.

So what have I done today?  Besides the typical housework?  Well, I had to do the usual “Mom you’re awesome” thing.  Because my daughter don’t watch her schedule,, I had to bring her instrument to her school this morning for her band class before lunch.  Yes,, I’m going for MOM OF THE FREAKING YEAR!!! 🙂

Upon getting back from that,, I called up my sis inlaw.  I could spend all day on the phone just to have that voice breaking the silence.  Then again, that’s what my music is for.  Which I usually have turned up full so no matter where in the house I am, I can hear the songs blaring.  Though, most times I just have the TV on.  Anything to break the quietness.  However, there’s times that I love it.  To turn everything off and just listen to nothing.  Until the roaring of cars speeding up the street.  Never have I ever wanted to live off in the woods somewhere, secluded with only my thoughts.  I think that’s why I’d love to be living out of the city.  It’s too busy and you have too many people in your business.

Though, you’ll get that anywhere you live, but not where I have in mind.  All I need is to win the lotto and POOF!!  Sounds lovely doesn’t it?  To be living somewhere you only can dream of.  My sanctuary is in the country, off the beaten path, in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway,, today starts 17 days and counting to the end of another school year.  Yep,, 17 days.  Of course, this is excluding weekends.  17 days of having to get up early and pack lunches.  Albeit, I should be doing it the night before, but then if I do, I’d only sleep in.  And I knows I would.  17 days of small arguements of getting the kids out of bed to get dressed.  And fed.  17 days of,,,,

But then what?  Well, now I have 23 days (including weekends) to plan a summer filled with fun.  No pressure.

I’m not that creative.  And I’ll be the first person to admit to that.  I had to call a friend to give me some ideas of what to do for my own daughter’s birthday party.  I had tie dying shirts in mind, but once I seen a video on Youtube of what’s involved to it,, I had to cancel that.  Mind you, that can still be something that I can do with my kids during the summer, so it’s not totally out.  But my friend was able to give me some other great ideas.

Plus I still have my Harry Potter series to read.  Thanks to some awesome friends of mine,, we are having a book club of sorts.  Where I have never read Harry Potter, one friend said she’d read along with me then we can have a discussion after each book.  What started off with just 2 of us, have now snowballed into about 7 or 8 friends.  This is so awesome.  Although, I have some massive reading to do.  I’m just starting chapter 12 of Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone and we’re supposed to be done on the 6th.  Yes, in 4 days!!!  I better get cracking. LOL.

And on that note,, I really should head off.  Kids will be home soon and I have some things to finish up before they arrive.   Anyway, thank you for popping by.  Wishing you all an awesome day (or night).

Until next time,

K ❤

This, That, and Everything in between.

Wow.  This is a record.  Writing up another post after doing one yesterday.  Better write that on the calendar, LOL.

Though, I was thinking last night (yes I know,, BAD idea 🙂 ), of changing the tagline on this site to “The Ramblings of a… “.

But of what?

“Stay at home mom”?  Nah.  Doesn’t sound too interesting.

“Wacky Writer”?  Hmmm, maybe.

“Nerdy Noob”?  *facepalm*

I seem to have lost my creativity in coming up with something that seems so simple.  So I’m asking you, my readers, to come up with a catchy tagline to go under my name for this blog site.

So to help you guys and gals out, here’s some tidbits about me.

I love sci-fi (Stargate, all 3), Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit Trilogies (especially Kili 😉 )

I love drama as well, NCIS (Love Gibbs), 19Two (awesome Canadian show) and Castle (I assume it would fall into this category).

I love BBC shows.  Mrs. Brown’s Boys (OMG it’s hilarious), and my new favorite, Poldark (not sure why, 😉 LOL.

Mind you if you follow me on twitter, you can figure out pretty quickly the type of person I am.  I love meeting and chatting (or tweeting) with people.

I’m not religious (not sure where I really stand on that topic), which seems to be taking me on some sort of journey for that answer.

If there’s anything else you wanna know about me,, pop me a tweet and I’ll answer as best I can.  If you don’t have twitter,, then post your questions here and I’ll answer there as well.

Anyway,, I have to get going.  Housework won’t get done themselves.  Though I wish it did. LOL.

Until next time,

K ❤ .

Hello December. Wait!! WHAT???

Yep. Another month has come and gone. I swear, where the hell did the time go? Soon it will be my birthday, then Christmas. And we can’t forget about ringing in the New Year.

As I was talking to a friend of mine on Facebook, we were talking about how easy things would be if some of the things we read in book or watch in movies would be a reality today. Like for instance,,, Harry’s wand. I’d love one of those for the sole purpose of having all my housework done in a flick with my wrist. It would be one hell of a time saver that’s for sure. Then there’s that quill (from same movies/books). To have such a thing follow me around all day, writing down everything I say,,, that would be the ultimate. Can you imagine the amount of books I’d have written and published by now? LOTS!!!

Yep, 2015 will be the year of change.  Although, I tend to say that every year, but this time I mean it.  I have a sequel to get out (not to mention the countless other ideas I have in my head that I want to get published), then my hubby’s co-workers can stop hounding him for it.  Bless them for all the support, they are awesome.

So here’s to wishing you all a great day.  I’ll try and blog more.  However,, if you want to keep updated as to what I’m doing,, then follow me on Twitter, and LIKE my author page on Facebook.

Until then,

K, xo
